I spent 2010-2013 living in Venice Beach, California where I made some of the best friends of my life. Venice is such a vibrant and eclectic beach town. From the intoxicated transients that line the beach front with shopping carts full of their random belongings. To the urban, hipster, latte drinking, hat wearing creatives that stroll down Abbot Kinney, I felt at home

I became fascinated with the rear alleys that divide each street. Often full of trash, broken furniture, stray cats and the homeless, I found such beauty in the parts of Venice I was advised not to be in at night

I asked my Venice friends to pose in a way that represented themselves, in an alley walking distance from their homes
